The Tadley building was originally built in 1928 for Dr. J.C. Tadley, a local physician. Over the years it has housed multiple different businesses including; a dentist office, a confectioner office, and a dance hall named the Silver Slipper Dance Hall later turned into the Wig-Wam Club. The Tadley building is one of twenty-seven structures in the East Ninth Street Historic District. The restoration of the Tadley building is centered around creating multiple spaces for the community while keeping the original charm of the exterior.
